ASUS ROG announces a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament with eight teams and a $25,000 prize pool taking place at ASSEMBLY Winter in Helsinki on January 30-31st.
This winter ASUS ROG Tournaments continue at the Finnish computer festival ASSEMBLY, once again featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Get ready to follow the hottest FPS game in eSports as ASUS ROG CS:GO Winter 2015 begins on January 30th with a $25 000 USD prize pool.
The tournament will consist of eight teams gathered through direct invitations and online qualifiers, which will be announced later. With the Counter-Strike scene now thriving in the Nordic countries once again, we expect a strong representation from the region and hope to see contenders rise up to challenge the North from around Europe.
While ASUS ROG CS:GO Winter 2015 will be the second venture of ASUS ROG Tournaments into CS:GO, the Finnish LAN event has a long tradition in Counter-Strike competitions. At ASUS ROG Summer 2014 Tournament, Danish myRevenge e.V. took down Finnish ENCORE in the grand final.
You may freely raise your expectations and start the hype, as we aim high to create a memorable show with stellar production, and take part in the return of the king of FPS games to the throne of Nordic eSports. We are also glad to add Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen as the head admin of the CS:GO tournament.
