Assembly Winter 2017 organizes a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament in Helsinki Convention & Exhibition Centre on February 3.-4. in which 16 teams will be competing for a $15,000 USD prize pot.
Assembly continues their series of professional CS:GO tournament in the upcoming Winter 2017 event sponsored by ASUS ROG. This time the event is bigger than ever with 16 teams joining the tournament via invites and an online qualifier for Finnish teams. The matches will be played and commentated live in front of the crowd of our digital festival on Fri-Sat, February 3-4 in Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre.

Participation
The teams will enter the tournament either via a direct invite or through the online qualifier which is meant for Finnish teams. In order to receive an invite, teams must request an invite on the January 15th the latest. The invitation includes only a spot in the tournament, no travel or accommodation expenses are covered. All teams interested in the event are encouraged to apply for an invite as there are double the spots as before up for grabs.
The online qualifier which is open only for Finnish teams will be held on Sunday, January 22nd. The sign-up info will be released later.
The participation in the tournament costs €250 EUR for each team.
Streams
The tournament will be streamed and casted in Finnish on the location. The production is handled by Yle (Finnish Broadcasting Company). In addition, the final of the competition will be aired live on the national Finnish TV channel Yle TV2 on Saturday, Feb 4 at 21:15 CET.

Format
The tournament follows the traditional format. The first phase is a GSL style group stage with matches being best-of-1 except for the final match of the groups. Eight teams will enter the playoffs which will feature best-of-3 matches.
