Assembly Winter 2014 Dota 2 Tournament

Assembly Winter 2014 will host a high level eSports competition in Dota 2 this year! The tournament will be played on the 31st of January (Group stage) and the 1st of February (Semis and Finals). The host for this year’s Assembly Winter is the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre (http://www.messukeskus.com). During the two day tournament, 8 teams will compete for a grand total of 5 000 euros in prizes.

Dota 2 has become one of the most well known titles in eSports. Especially thanks to the tournaments known as The Internationals, which have raised the level for prize money expectations all around. Developed by Valve and distributed through the Steam service, this free game is very popular among players, granting the game an exceptional base to draw from. This year, Assembly Winter wants to provide you with the chance to follow these top notch games live at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre. Teams are expected from abroad as well as from Finland.

The tournament is also viewable online with Finnish commentary provided by perhaps the most well known Finnish Dota 2 caster, Jaakko “Pawsaur” Markkanen.

Format:

• NON-BYOC
• Double Elimination BO1 group stage (Group A), Round Robin BO1 group stage (Group B)  followed by a Single Elimination BO3 semi-final into the bronze and final matches.
